Jeep Bumpers – Bestop HighRock 4×4 Bumper

Comments 259 Jeep Bumpers – Bestop HighRock 4×4 Bumper

For the second month of our 4WD Jeep Giveaway Contest we’re bringing you another great Bestop product – the Bestop HighRock 4×4 Bumper. This ranks as one of the top Jeep bumpers on the market for a number of reasons.

This is a great Jeep part that is designed for everyone from the extreme rock crawler to the daily highway driver. Front Jeep bumpers protect the vehicle for many years thanks to a number of features. An e-coat undercoating and textured black powder coat make sure the bumper will last. These finishes create an extra hard exterior that is resistant to nicks and scratches, plus they keep moisture out so water damage doesn’t prematurely age it. Plus, the no drill installation makes it an easy add-on.

But probably the best thing about the Bestop HighRock 4×4 Bumper is the amount of accessory options that come with it. That’s why we’re giving you the opportunity to vote on which bumper accessories you think should go on the Jeep. It automatically comes with a winch plate to accommodate most standard winches, but if you don’t really prefer to have any additional components on your bumper, you have the option of keeping it clean with no accessories added.

However, if you’d like a little bit more with your bumper package, choose from the following accessories:

Approach Roller

If you’re doing the up and down trek on some off-road hills, that first step up can be intense. The approach roller helps ease you into the incline/decline so there’s less impact on the bumper and your Jeep. It comes in a rubberized textured black finish for sleekness and performance.

Chrome Tubular Grille Guard

The bumper adds protection to the body of the Jeep, but what about the other components? The chrome tubular grille guard protects your grille and headlights from damage. It’s generally available in either textured black or stainless steel.

D-Ring Hooks

It’s amazing that a small item like D-rings can be so helpful. When you attach these Jeep accessories with a ¾” diameter shackle attachment to the front bumper, it opens up the possibilities. Not only are they are a great attachment point for towing, but they can greatly increase your winching power by creating a pulley-type system.

Bumper Box

Now that you’ve got all of these great bumper and winch accessories, you need some place to store them. That’s where the bumper storage box comes in. Install it on your bumper and you can throw in extra winch rope, d-shackles, and whatever else will come in handy.

About Bestop: They’ve been in the business for more than 50 years, starting out as a small trim shop that made canvas tops for WWII Jeeps. Once the war ended, they expanded into commercial Jeeps and they’ve been providing the world with an ever-expanding line of quality Jeep tops and accessories ever since.

I’d love to win this, outrun my husband’s Cherokee in the mountains just once, then when I get through rubbing it in, hand him the keys, lol. Love the choice on accessories so far!

  • Dec 2 @ 23:12pmSteven Blaser says:

I think the Tubular Grille Guard that I would like best is the textured black style.

  • Dec 2 @ 23:14pmKris says:

I like the fully loaded option. I’ve got a 1997 Grand Cherokee with a 5.2 liter V8. It’s got the power that I need to get anywhere I wanna go. I just wish I could find accessories to get it Moab ready. I do LOVE my Jeep though. Would’nt own any other type of 4×4. :)

  • Dec 3 @ 02:34amSteve Evans says:

I think the bumper box is a good idea if it is sturdy enough to take the hard knocks!

  • Dec 3 @ 09:00amGarry says:

I think it would be great to have a place to stow your gear, but there’s got to be a better place to put it. A bumper box that protrudes past the bumper sort of defeats the purpose of the bumper, doesn’t it?

  • Dec 3 @ 09:09amLonnie Rivera says:

The bumper would be a nice addition, but let’s loose the chrome grille guard for the textured black grille guard.

  • Dec 3 @ 09:23amKurt says:

I have to agree with Garry.

  • Dec 3 @ 09:23amLonnie Rivera says:

I like the bumper, but I perfer the black grille guard. The tool storage is nice but the bumper would have a cleaner look without it.

  • Dec 3 @ 09:34amJAKE says:

I AGREE THE CHROME TUBE SHOULD BE THE TEXTURED BLACK, DONT GET ME WRONG I LIKE CHROME BUT NOT ON A ORV

  • Dec 3 @ 09:38amJAKE says:

OH YES THE STOW BOX UP FRONT HOW LONG WILL IT LAST UP THERE WITH IT TAKING THE BEATIN IT WILL GET

  • Dec 3 @ 09:50amNathan Severson says:

Lets Face-it any off Roader knows that the bumper is the first line of deafens against obstacles and key point in recovery and every one likes to have a little still and function. so I wood go with the chrome tubular grille guard and approach roller and the two D-rings for a useful and clean look.
    I live’ I rid’ I am JEEP.
    Happy 4X4in ;)

  • Dec 3 @ 10:22amJim Hunt says:

I’m going to vote for the D-Rings Hooks, I would probably get the most use out of those.

  • Dec 3 @ 12:28pmMeg says:

  • Dec 3 @ 14:31pmGreg says:

The bumper is a great design but the chrome has to go and the tool box would be better behind the winch sunk into the bumper to protect it

  • Dec 3 @ 15:27pmJohn says:

The jeep looks great would like too have it in my driveway

  • Dec 3 @ 15:51pmBernice Cahill says:

  • Dec 4 @ 03:43amRyan says:

The Toolbox slides back into the bumper and locks..
It would be ridiculous to have that thing sticking out all the time

  • Dec 4 @ 12:12pmCarl Veaux says:

Those asseries are great . I would be delighted to have them on any jeep

  • Dec 5 @ 00:48amF. Magana says:

I Agree with most . . The Chrome Tube should be Black . . And some Light Mounting Tabs Help . . And more when you Drive in the Dark Desert

  • Dec 5 @ 05:08amRudolph J. D'Angelico II says:

I like bumper #2 but, lose the chrome grill guard and replace with black powdercoat and please lose the storage box and bracketry all together. That storage box past the bumper serves this ride NO justice whatsoever or any other ride for that matter. Thanks for the opportunity to vote, state my opinion and the chance to WIN.This would be perfect for my son’s 1st ride.

  • Dec 5 @ 14:16pmLoyal D. says:

It is going to a blast driving a new Jeep in the mountains.

  • Dec 5 @ 18:48pmSusan Ricci says:

This would make my Christmas very Merry!

  • Dec 5 @ 21:23pmTyler Peterson says:

Far be it from me to look a gift horse in the mouth but what would make this rig realy nice is beter than 25MPG. Like say one might get out of the CRD, like the Ruby at the SEMA show a couple of years ago. Now this is the Jeep I want: http://www.bc4×4.com/inthenews/default.cfm?ID=177

  • Dec 5 @ 23:32pmKenneth Barclay, Sr. says:

The Jeep is built to go just about anywhere so, bush gards always help and you never have enough storage

  • Dec 6 @ 01:44amThomas S. Hector says:

Nice ride, but lose the tool box and the chrome. Otherwise you can park it in my driveway.

  • Dec 6 @ 11:47amMillerTime says:

I agree with Kelvin and Greg. The box on the bumper won’t hold up for long when you get yourself into extreme approaches so get rid of that and keep the D rings. The space behind the back seat has enough room for a toolbox. Am I right? Yes I am.

    ROCK ON!!

  • Dec 6 @ 13:04pmJimmy R. says:

Come on an Army Veteran w/ a jeep like that to celebrate becoming a civilian again, what could be better? Besides it sure beats driving a humvee in iraq, lol!

  • Dec 6 @ 13:19pmTim says:

I like the roller and hooks but loose the chrome. I have black paint but no chrome paint and I’ve been known to hit rocks. ;)

  • Dec 7 @ 08:27amDavid Welling says:

The bumper box is really cool for storing tool if you don’t have a secure storage space. I will agree that it is nit the most attractive box and it is placed in an area that is vulnerble for damage..

  • Dec 7 @ 11:30amEatJeep says:

How come you all have the same Avatar? Chrome? Leave it for the hummers. Can’t have the box and keep the approach angle. Who’s in charge of this vote? Give me an AEV choice or a Shrockworks bumper. Love Bestop but some of their stuff is a stretch from practical. Jeep on.

  • Dec 7 @ 12:25pmCHRISTIAN says:

I would agree on the color! Black would look much better!

  • Dec 7 @ 17:35pmJohn says:

    JOHN
    “OOPS” JEEP CLUB INDIO CA.
I LIKE THE LOOK BY IS IT FUCTIONAL? LIKE EVERYONE ELSE I DON’T LIKE THE CHROME. IT SHOULD BE BLACK. THE FRONT HOOP SHOULD RISE ABOVE THE HOOD, FOR ROLL OVER PROTECTION. AS ANY JEEP OWNER KNOWS STORAGE IS IMPORTANTAN, JUST NOT ON THE FRONT BUMPER! THAT IS THE FIRST THING I HIT. GREAT PRODUCT, GOOD LOOKING BUMPER BUT LET’S BE REAL. WILL IT WITHSTAND THE ABUSE OF A WEEKEND OF WHEELING IN SOUTHER CA.??? I WOULD LOVE TO GIVE IT A TEST DRIVE. I LIKE THE ROLLER. THAT COULD BE USEFUL. I STILL LOVE THE LOOK OF THE BUMPER, GOOD LOOKING BUMPER.

  • Dec 7 @ 20:51pmRyan says:

Nice bumper, I’d like one loaded other than the chrome. Thanks

  • Dec 7 @ 22:13pmsean says:

Nice bumper just not sure it’s strong enough.
