Jeep Bumpers – Bestop HighRock 4×4 Bumper
Comments 259
For the second month of our 4WD Jeep Giveaway Contest we’re bringing you another great Bestop product – the Bestop HighRock 4×4 Bumper. This ranks as one of the top Jeep bumpers on the market for a number of reasons.
This is a great Jeep part that is designed for everyone from the extreme rock crawler to the daily highway driver. Front Jeep bumpers protect the vehicle for many years thanks to a number of features. An e-coat undercoating and textured black powder coat make sure the bumper will last. These finishes create an extra hard exterior that is resistant to nicks and scratches, plus they keep moisture out so water damage doesn’t prematurely age it. Plus, the no drill installation makes it an easy add-on.
But probably the best thing about the Bestop HighRock 4×4 Bumper is the amount of accessory options that come with it. That’s why we’re giving you the opportunity to vote on which bumper accessories you think should go on the Jeep. It automatically comes with a winch plate to accommodate most standard winches, but if you don’t really prefer to have any additional components on your bumper, you have the option of keeping it clean with no accessories added.
However, if you’d like a little bit more with your bumper package, choose from the following accessories:
Approach Roller
If you’re doing the up and down trek on some off-road hills, that first step up can be intense. The approach roller helps ease you into the incline/decline so there’s less impact on the bumper and your Jeep. It comes in a rubberized textured black finish for sleekness and performance.
Chrome Tubular Grille Guard
The bumper adds protection to the body of the Jeep, but what about the other components? The chrome tubular grille guard protects your grille and headlights from damage. It’s generally available in either textured black or stainless steel.
D-Ring Hooks
It’s amazing that a small item like D-rings can be so helpful. When you attach these Jeep accessories with a ¾” diameter shackle attachment to the front bumper, it opens up the possibilities. Not only are they are a great attachment point for towing, but they can greatly increase your winching power by creating a pulley-type system.
Bumper Box
Now that you’ve got all of these great bumper and winch accessories, you need some place to store them. That’s where the bumper storage box comes in. Install it on your bumper and you can throw in extra winch rope, d-shackles, and whatever else will come in handy.
About Bestop: They’ve been in the business for more than 50 years, starting out as a small trim shop that made canvas tops for WWII Jeeps. Once the war ended, they expanded into commercial Jeeps and they’ve been providing the world with an ever-expanding line of quality Jeep tops and accessories ever since.

I vote for bumper #2. The tool box is not necessary on the bumper.
Dec 8 @ 06:23amMargaretAnn Rice says:
Sturdy enough to withstand the wildest of rides.
Dec 8 @ 10:11amSusan says:
Like the bumper but not in chrome…….doesn’t belong on a jeep.
Dec 8 @ 20:22pmJohn says:
Don’t need the box, so bumper #2 wins. Would like an all black option rather than chrome only.
Dec 8 @ 21:27pmTim says:
Like No. 2 bumper no chrome no toolbox looks good n strong.
Dec 9 @ 07:56amPatrick says:
…like the idea of the bumper box, but in reality for me, it would just become a mud filled crap magnet that I would most likely tear up anyway, so I’d have to go with # 2,…minus the chrome.
Dec 9 @ 11:19amJoe says:
Bumper #2 looks good… although chrome wouldn’t be my first choice.
Dec 9 @ 16:45pmwilliam says:
bumper 2 is pretty to the point. nothing to drag and hot rocks..
Dec 9 @ 17:39pmWinona May says:
I like bumper #1. It just has a more clean line to it. The other two were sort of gaudy from my perspective.
Dec 9 @ 20:23pmJohn Dalke says:
I like the cleaner looks of #2. The tool box is always liked here in my area, but I would prefer it on the back end somewere.

Dec 11 @ 06:16amJohn says:
I had to vote for #1. I agree that I too didn’t like the chrome on #2. #3 the tool box looks as if it takes away from ground clearance/approach angle. Nice idea to get additional storage in a Jeep which I need but location is bad. Maybe at the ends of the bumper?
Dec 11 @ 09:40amEric says:
I have to agree with most… #2 is the way to go. The tool box up front on bumper will eventually start getting in the way…
*||||*
Dec 11 @ 10:05amGene says:
#3 in Black. How is it possible to have too many places to put junk? Shackles, Straps,…
Dec 11 @ 10:19amLeonard Gamberg says:
bumper 1 but a simple front bumper with integrated winch mount would be better.
Dec 11 @ 10:41ambillybob says:
smashed up tool box is always fun. especially when it rattles off and falls in the stream.
Dec 11 @ 10:43amChels says:
I like the Storage Box. For me, I like the inside clutter free and the center console is just not enough storage sometimes for all my fishing lures, ropes, paint brushes… =)
Dec 11 @ 13:01pmchriso says:
i vote #3, why not the toolbox. front bumpers are excellent place for additional storage. yes indeed!

Awesome vehicle!
Dec 16 @ 10:54amDB NEWELL says:
#2, DEFINITELY WITHOUT THE CHROME!
Dec 16 @ 12:18pmBill Boyer III says:
I choose # 2 for the versatility in off-road and emergency assist on-road . I foresee potential problems with a Toolbox mounted low and on the Front Bumper .
Dec 16 @ 15:02pmTilley says:
# Its the whole package!!!!
Dec 16 @ 16:36pmKimberly Green says:
WOW!!
Dec 16 @ 23:35pmSteve says:
I choose #1 for its cleaner look. Why aren’t the toolbox brackets removed?
Dec 17 @ 02:54amJames Griego says:
3 for me. The tool box on the bumper would be a great place to keep tools you use alot, and chains, tow ropes whatever might get buried if you happen to toss a load in the back.
