Jeep Exhaust Systems – MagnaFlow, aFe, & Banks Exhausts

Comments 306 Jeep Exhaust Systems – MagnaFlow, aFe, & Banks Exhausts

Are you looking to increase horsepower and torque, improve efficiency, and save gas? A Jeep exhaust is exactly what you need to get to that next level of performance. Adding larger tires and wheels, a winch, and heavy-duty bumper is essential for going off-roading but they do add a significant amount of weight, which can impact your performance. A Jeep exhaust system will give it that extra boost you need. For the May vote, choose which Jeep exhaust you want installed on the Jeep JK: MagnaFlow, aFe, or Banks Power.

If you’re a tech guy, then you know that your Jeep is propelled by combustion in the engine that is made by igniting an air/fuel mixture. The better the air flow through your engine, the more efficiently it’s going to run and there are 2 main Jeep parts that will maximize your air flow. Next month we’ll take care of the incoming air with an upgraded air filter, but this month it’s all about the Jeep exhaust. A Jeep exhaust system uses a pipe and muffler to direct the used air away from the engine and make room for a new, fresh batch. The faster the exhaust gets rid of that air, the more efficiently your engine will perform. And of course, who doesn’t love the roar of an upgraded exhaust?

Choose which of these 3 Jeep exhaust systems should go on the JK:

MagnaFlow Cat-Back Performance Exhaust System

This is the premium line of MagnaFlow exhausts. Each MagnaFlow cat-back exhaust will give you up to 8 extra horsepower and an additional 13 ft-lbs of torque. Thanks to an all-welded construction with high-quality stainless bands, each exhaust boasts a long lifespan. Plus, it has a really great sound; you’ll love the smooth, deep tone of this single exhaust system.

  • 100% Stainless Steel
  • 2.5″ Tubing
  • 3.5″ Double Wall Tip
  • Mandrel-Bent
  • Single Exhaust

aFe Mach Force Exhaust System

aFe cat-back performance exhausts allow you to boost performance without sacrificing ground clearance thanks to their Hi-Tuck design. Plus, it’s an easy installation; just use the OE-style hangers and band clamps to install it in no time. In recent tests, the aFe Mach Force exhaust provided 13 extra horsepower and 15 ft-lbs of additional torque.

  • 409 Stainless Steel
  • 3″ Tubing
  • 4″ Tip
  • Mandrel-Bent
  • Single Exhaust

Banks Monster Exhaust System
When you install the Banks monster exhaust system, you’ll get a throaty, commanding sound without driving your neighbors crazy. The performance upgrades are enormous; the included muffler flowed 501.2 cfm at 1 psi in testing, which is a whopping 140% better than the stock exhaust. It’s one of the industry’s least restrictive exhausts, practically eliminating backpressure.

  • Stainless Steel
  • 2.5″ Tubing
  • 3″ Turn Down Tip
  • Mandrel-Bent
  • Single Exhaust

Now that this Jeep is almost ready to hit those off-road trails, it’s time to give you some extra security for your cargo. This month we’ll also be installing the Bestop Instatrunk. These Jeep accessories install right into the cargo area behind the rear seats to provide you extra protection from theft and harsh weather. A weatherproof seal keeps moisture out and the Bestop Instatrunk locks tight with your tailgate.

About MagnaFlow: MagnaFlow has spent the past 25 years perfecting their aftermarket Jeep exhaust systems. With big names like Mario Andretti backing them up, you know this is quality you can trust.

About aFe: aFe keeps a strict focus on making everything in the engine flow better; that’s why their name stands for advanced flow engineering. Count on them for air intakes, exhausts systems, filters, and intercoolers.

About Banks Power: Since the age of 14, Gale Banks has been working on engines. 50 years later, this dedication has made Banks Power one of the top names in the industry, shattering world records again and again.

Would love to win this vehicle. My regular vehicle is almost 11 years old. Still runs fairly well. My truck is a ‘91 model. Still runs okay. I think this Jeep would be just a great ride. Don’t know too much about exhaust systems, but I chose Magnaflow.

  • May 26 @ 18:09pmAlan Avery says:

Go Banks, it has more do do with system than size. Banks muffler flows more.

  • May 27 @ 05:15amJody Collman says:

    Go Banks

  • May 27 @ 14:06pmMike Brz says:

Go by the proven performance numbers, choose aFe.

  • May 27 @ 15:23pmGordon says:

if you know anything about metal and rust, you know that the best product will be an all stainless steel system, from clamps to pipes to the muffler itself. and flow and pressure will be less if there are a minimum amount of bends and curves, or as smooth a bend as possible. i chose da magnaflow.

The aFe system sounds like the way to go. Again, I’m no expert but it appears to be the best engineered.

  • May 28 @ 12:23pmJulius Scipio says:

    Banks, Definitely!

    Banks hands down.

  • May 28 @ 18:17pmamy barnes says:

    GO Banks!

  • May 28 @ 20:18pmBrandyn Hurd says:

Banks is the only way to go. My best friend just had a Banks monster installed, and he couldn’t be happier with the proformance boost it gave him, even with all his new “add-ons.” (40 in. Goodyear MTRs, an 8″ skyjacker suspension lift, 17 in. procomp allow rims, new front and rear procomp bumpers and tire carrier, and a 10500 superwinch winch) Even with all that he still noticed a boost in his profomance, so the Banks Monster Exhaust system is the again the only way to go.

go all out open headers with a big fat girl in the seat next to you!!!!

  • May 28 @ 22:56pmGLENN says:

IT,S NOT JUST THE PERFORMANCE, IT’S THE SOUND!

  • May 29 @ 06:02amRanger4ever says:

Engines are just big air pumps boys…the more air you can move in and then out the more performance you will achieve. Banks moved over 500 cubic feet per minute at only 1 psi…you exhale harder than that!!! That is some free flowin stainless right there!

  • May 29 @ 11:00amJim Edson says:

Go with Banks, the system that is known for power increases

  • May 29 @ 12:35pmLB Farrell says:

    Go Banks

  • May 29 @ 13:49pmKelly Hansen says:

MagnaFlow has a great reputation for great products! My vote would definitely be for the MagnaFlow 100% Stainless Steel system.

  • May 29 @ 17:46pmmark says:

    BANKS!
Magnaflow are too mainstream, played out like flowmaster. Afe aint bad, would get my vote…but I just gotta stick with Banks, they rock!

  • May 29 @ 21:28pmJulie Stahnke says:

I agree on the Banks exhaust system.

  • May 30 @ 00:40ammatthew thresher says:

In exaust as with everything in torque aplications, size matters, aFe is the best for its size. 3″ tube, = less restriction and more flow and in my previous experience the best for hourse power and torque, is larger size tubing. The others are good, but bigger is better!!!

  • May 30 @ 11:22amCarl Hultgren says:

    magnaflow
