Jeep Winches Winner: Installing a WARN PowerPlant Winch
Comments 29
You voted and the winning Jeep winch is the WARN PowerPlant winch. The WARN PowerPlant massacred the other Jeep winches in the final vote, probably because it has a built-in air compressor to go along with its fantastic winching capabilities. Overall, it’s a pretty easy install. Check it out for yourself as we guide you through it on the 2010 Jeep JK.

Warn is THE name in winches.
Mar 26 @ 07:30amJohn says:
I love the winch but am a little concerned by how much it covers the front of the radiator. I would have liked to have seen the Smittybuilt XRC bumper installed. The winch would have set lower in the bumper. I love the build.

I once had a jeep, drove it for over 10 years and you can get into places where a good winch is a lifesaver.
Mar 26 @ 09:27amJared Nielsen says:
Warn industries was founded in 1948. Warn developed its first recreational winch in 1959. The WARN winch quickly became the leading brand for off road racers and four wheelers. Warn was acquired by Dover Resources (now Dover Industrial Products) in October, 2003, and is now part of Dover Corporation. Then later in 2009, Warn was selected to provide the self recovery winch for the U.S. military’s M-ATV program. So long story short with Warns extensive history and pioneering spirit, how could you go wrong? I had owned Warn winches in the past and could never see myself purchasing anything but Warn in the future. My current Jeep is a 1982 CJ7.

LAME,LAME,LAME,People who voted for this Warn, I don’t have a problem with Warn, just this model, and especially on this Jeep.I’m sure most can see this, for those who don’t keep an eye on that temperature gauge, when your drive’n to your favorite place to wheel, or turn on the air on that warm day of wheel’n. CAN WE BLOCK THE RADIATOR ANYMORE THAN THIS WINCH DOES?!?! A piece of plywood would block it less! Yeah..the air compressor sounds neat, till you see how much it blocks the radiator from breathing, sorry any other Warn winch but this one Please…Thank you
Mar 27 @ 21:14pmJANET BINGEL says:
WHERE WE LIVE AND MY HUSBANDS HUNTING WOULD GIVE THAT WINCH A LOT OF USE. THE JEEP WOULD SURE COME IN HANDY TOO!
Mar 27 @ 22:18pmEdgar Hernandez says:
Umm so what happens next?
Mar 28 @ 19:41pmWayne says:
I love my PowerPlant, As you may have noticed in the video there is not much room on the battery terminals for your second winch connection. it helps to use a larger size terminal for your second set of leads so as to draw the first inside the second.

Just got back from going through the jungles of Belize and Honduras wish I had had this jeep. They really called that a jeep we were in?
